Remember La Vert Goo? I thought it would be a nice to update my becoming a healthy girl process. I am still drinking that Green Goo Drink and popping my vitamins, including Vitamin D-3. Very important in these 'arctic' north country climates. Here is some wonderful Vit.D info from Gwynny's (sounds like Ms. Paltrow and I are pals, I wish- love that girl. She is so inspiring) Goop, so you know where I am coming from:) on that subject.
1. Book. Now I am working on other things. The holidays gave me a big hiccup on adding more healthy components. But, now I am in full swing after reading about this new book by Marianne Williamson in O. magazine.
I really want to take some complete time to describe the Mind/Body/Spirit impact it has on me thus far. It truly has been a answer to prayer... tomorrow (tuesday) I will post more. I promise!
2. Learn and Burn. I was also so excited to see Turbo Jam featured in O magazine too. I did not feel so foolish after seeing that little write up:) The fact that I had for the first time fallen full line and sinker for a good ol' mid-day infomercial:) I had ordered it in October or something and once it arrived, It just sat in it's box until recently. I was reminded of it again, when I saw it as one of Gail King's Fave 2010 Holiday things. * Don't worry I don't do everything Oprah or Gail says. Ok most of it:) LOL.
But, now with the new year. I finally busted that Baby out and put it in the DVD. *** I have not been paid to write what I am about too*** I LOVE myself some Turbo Jam. It is fun and challenging. Instructor Chalene Johnson oozes encouragement and feels as if she is in the living room with you. I love her workout team and all the bonus's in the DVD except the Beach Body info crap-ola. The music- Is a throw back to the 90's, which is Ok by me. It's catchy.
Before beginning doing Turbo Jam myself, I sat one hour reading reviews on Amazon. Honestly, No negative feedback found, except for the purchase processing through Amazon itself. * So, if you are thinking of getting it, buy it through Beach Body on-line.
So, How is that Turbo Jam working out for ya? You might ask. Good and Slow. I am a major repetitive person and doing work-outs like this don't bother me at all. I enjoy the routine and have always been a fan of work-out videos. Example 1990's Cindy Crawford video and even a little Richard Simmon's Sweatin to the oldies:) Don't laugh, it was fun back in the Jr. High days:)
I am taking it slow. I might be doing the first DVD (Learn and Burn) for a month. I am way out of shape and just go little more each day is better than nothing. My Goal is to stick with Turbo Jam until this Spring, When I will be ready to go outside to bike, walk and begin running. Yes, I said running. Man, I have fitness plans:)
3. Move More-Eat Less.
I do what Cathy Z. tells me too:) Love this Lady, not just for her clean and simple scrapbooking bad ass self, but her commitment to being a healthy role model and sharing it with everyone via her blog. MOVE MORE, EAT LESS-Getting healthy and losing weight is in this simple equation once you get the emotional work going. One thing I have learned in my 36 years, once I start exercising, the eating less comes naturally. I get my butt moving, that McDonalds quarter pounder does not fit into the equation so much:)
I got on the Move More, Eat Less revolution with her awesome keeping accountable Fitness Journal Templates. If you have not read her wonderful intro to this project click Here.
I am also using these pages to document my Month to Month progress. I will share these later on. In the meantime, I will keep them to myself. I am a firm believer in sharing what your comfortable with at the moment. Pretty much I am a open book, but when it comes to numbers (weight and measurements) at this time I am gonna be a bit discreet. I hope you understand:)
I hope next week once everything is rolling pretty smoothly and when I have things together(It is kind of the mess at this moment. My Paper cutter is putting in some over time:). I will share my journal:)
Please have a good Monday and see you here tomorrow with A course in Weight Loss Review. Love, C.
PS For you- Happy Birthday and you are so so missed!! Moments still and will never be the same without you here:( I know you would be proud of my positive changes, we were always each others biggest cheerleaders! I will bust a move just for you today while breaking a sweat:) Maybe a scarf too. I love you.
