Most people my age would know her by her sunglasses or maybe the pink suit or the pill box hats there moms might of told them about. "She was a first lady during that Mad Men Show era right?" In a modern world where reality shows rule and discretion is old fashion. Someone like Jacqueline Kennedy is a foreign entity. She never spoke in life publicly about the intimate details of her life and her remarkable moments as First Lady until now.
This coming Tuesday on ABC, Diane Sawyer anchor's a 2 hour special with a glimpse into the official release of the 8 and half hours of intimate interviews of Historian Arthur Schlesinger Jr. with Mrs. Kennedy.
I personally am beyond eager to get to know her more on a intimate level and have the privilege to understand the woman behind the iconic fashion. Get to know the woman, who loved books and history so much that she knew how important this oral history would be someday.
In the meantime ABC has a wonderful page for anyone to see the Kennedy era in detail. The videos and images are sure worth the check out. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Jacqueline_Kennedy/ and http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Jacqueline_Kennedy/story?id=13639780 please on the second link watch the introduction from her daughter Caroline.
Happy Wed. Love, C.
